Often campus commerce and security systems are described as disparate and disconnected. Yet many campuses still speak about a “one-card” system. While the spirit behind that terminology is on target, “one-card,” by definition, may create boundaries. What’s really needed is a platform that blurs the traditional lines between the campus, community and Web enabling anytime, anywhere commerce. By weaving together traditional campus-card system use with broader institutional needs, commerce and security technology can improve campus operations while enhancing student life.
