To meet those needs, we’re expanding on the commitment to learning that got us started to focus on enriching the broader education experience as a whole - teaching and learning, daily life in learning settings and the communication that keeps people informed and aware.
Our solutions – In the past year, our learning and campus commerce offerings (formerly the Blackboard Academic and Commerce Suites), have seen milestone releases in which they matured to become fuller platforms. So they bring their own powerful capabilities but also can serve as the open foundation for other technologies our clients want to run. And in 2008 we added industry-leading alert and notification capability to the Blackboard family. Today, we’re working to put everything this technology has to offer in the palms of your students’ hands.
The community we serve – We started in higher education, serving clients primarily in North America. We’re now fortunate to work with more than 5000 institutions in more than 60 countries - from K-12, to higher education, professional education, the corporate ranks, government and the military.
All in all, a lot of healthy evolution and change for our company, perspective and solutions.
