Michael Beach
Chief Financial Officer
Mike Beach joined Blackboard in June 2001 and was named chief financial officer in September 2006. In his role, Mike oversees all of the company's financial and administrative groups, including finance, accounting, investor relations and billing operations. Additionally, Mike serves on the company's executive management team. Prior to his appointment as chief financial officer, Mike served as vice president of finance and treasurer overseeing the company's accounting, treasury, tax and reporting functions.
Mike comes to Blackboard from Ernst & Young where he was a senior manager in the Technologies, Communication and Entertainment Assurance Practice. While at Ernst & Young, Mike spent eight years providing accounting, audit, tax, acquisition due diligence and other services to several public and private clients. Mike has also served as controller for GreenStone Industries, Inc. where he managed the company's accounting, tax and reporting functions.
Mike is a certified public accountant and holds a BBA in Accounting from James Madison University.
