The Blackboard K-12 Advisory Board is a group of successful and distinguished industry and school leaders contributing to the future success of K-12 by sharing their diverse and invaluable knowledge and experiences. This group will help guide our product strategy and development in the areas of online professional development, extending student access through online courses, and parental involvement and communication.

Blackboard has partnered with My Learning Plan in order to enhance the professional development capabilities of K-12 districts.  The partnership enables Blackboard to offer a comprehensive solution that integrates the professional development management capabilities of MyLearningPlan®. Partnering with Wimba allows Blackboard to offer K-12 schools and districts with a collaborative learning environment to expand educational access for students, support online professional development and create stronger learning communities. Wimba’s collaborative software applications enable schools to easily add a live classroom or virtual language lab within a course or community environment.  Wimba Collaboration Suite Express™ is available at no additional cost to Blackboard K-12 clients. Content 

For districts focused on college readiness, Blackboard has established partnerships with many of the Publishers who produce the textbooks used in upper level High School courses.  To find out if the textbook you use has a Course Cartridge available, contact your publisher representative or search the Cartridge Catalog.  Blackboard continues to work to grow its network of content partners so please check back frequently for updates.
